White smoke coming out of exaust?
I have a 2001 Honda Accord & white smoke comes out of my exaust once I start my car & when I accelerate.. Do you guys guys have any idea what the problem could be? Thanks.
white smoke could indicate a problem with the fuel in your car or could be a sign of the catalytic convertor going bad in some cases
i agree w bseriescrxsi it could jsut be the gas u have in it or if u have put octane booster in it anytime recently i put it in my car once and it blew white smoke until i ran out that gas and put some new gas in it
Thanks guys, I checked my coolant recently & I put more in, and then I checked a few days later & it was empty. The smoke does smell sweet. When I start my car there is a 1 large cloud of smoke. Do you guys think its a leak in one of the hoses?

You need to check this out if you are using coolant;
Try this; Refill the coolant ....run the car to get up to normal temp [fans cycle] this pressurizes the coolant system, then shut the car off, after 30 minutes remove all the spark plugs and use a STRONG flashlight to look down in the cylinders for coolant on top of the pistons.
If you see no coolant, tape paper towel over the spark plug holes and crank the engine a few times, then check the towels for signs of coolant sprayed out.

hey i never thought about checkin the head gasket that way. but yeah i agree, it sounds like ur using coolant, not leaking it out. leaking it out of a hose wouldn't cause ur car to smoke, well unless it was leaking on a hot spot and burning off but anyways. prolly a headgasket

agreed...and if it werre leaking on a hot spot you would know the smoke comes straight out from the hood and the smell is very distinct
