Serious tranny/clutch problem!! need help fast!!

alright from the beginning...
i drove my integra to school today and on the way there when i let off the clutch the pedal would pop up and THEN i would feel like a click in my pedal.. everything was shifting fine.
once i got to school. i shut the car off for a while and when i went to start it again it would not under any circumstances go into gear.. at all. so my first thought was to check for leaks.. i found out that my clutch master cylinder was leaking a little. but not at all enough to cause a problem because there was still plenty of fluid in it. then i checked to slave cylinder. it was working just fine.. as i'd hoped because i just changed it at the end of last year.
SO i decided to change the master cylinder.. just in case and also adjust the pedal to as much possible pedal stoke i could have. SO i did all that and bled the clutch until my pedal was stiffer than i have EVER had it before.
so i went and started the car.. STILL wont go into any gear. at all. so i shut it off.. then i decided to call it a day and wait till tomorrow and change the slave again.. but before i left i wanted to try one more time.. i started it.. IT WORKED! went into every gear and drove forward and backward just fine.. so i thought i'd drive it around school to make sure. i got maybe 100 feet and now it wont go into gear again..
CLIFFS:
drove car to school and shut it off
came back later... wouldnt go into gear
changed master cylinder
drove 100 ft.. got the same problem again.
tommorrows task is to change the slave even though it shouldnt be that.. unless anyone has any input for me?? could this be a tranny problem?? clutch??
HELP
thanks
Dustin

Does the throw out bearing make any noise when you push your clutch in?
And what do you mean it wouldn't go into any gear. Was the shifter stuck or could you move the shifter side to side, but it wouldn't slide up or down into a gear? Was there grinding when you tried to put it in gear? Any abnormal noises?

lately the throw out bearing has been abnormally loud but nothing drove any differently. and yes.. i can move the shifter side to side. but it will not drop into any gear. it will grind when i try and put it in reverse but every other gear it will not even consider going into gear... i believe it is the clutch/throwout bearing
And you would be right sir. throw out bearing/clutch
Pop that bad boy and and have a look and let us know what you find.
Let me recap though so I can be 100% sure that's what is going on. So when your foot is off the clutch pedal there isn't any abnormal noise. When you push in the clutch you get a noisy throwout bearing and you can't shift into any gear. Right?

yes. sometimes when the pedal is out the noise it there. sometimes not. i had a meet the other day so what i did was.. while the car was off.. i put it in third gear.. started the car.. and drove the the meet in third. lol. worked awesome. tranny comes out on thurs! i will update asap.
thanks for the help

That's awesome man, good thinking!
I would bet since you have a noise and you can't shift then it's your throw out bearing... if there was no noise then it was your master/slave cylinder. and if the car didn't move then it would be your clutch.
So how about 5 bux it's your throw out bearing
Totally keep us posted.

i have this same problem right now, only its not my throwout bearing. it makes no weird noises and i can move my shifter side to side. i checked my clutch fluid resovoir and it was low, so i filled it up but i still cannot put my car into gear. my clutch wont engage all the way and i have to manually pull it back up with my feet. any help would be great! i also checked my slave cylinder and it does not appear to have any leaks and my resovoir holds the fluid.
i need help!

If you have to manually pull your pedal back up from the floor, then the master or slave cylinder is toast. There's air being allowed into the system. A hydraulic system thats properly working will not allow the pedal to compress and not return back.
will air in my system make it so that i have to manually pull up my clutch pedal? i want to try to bleed the clutch, i read over alot of threads and believe i understand how to do it. but where/what is the "bleeder screw" exactly? is it the screw pointing towards the header?
ok i think i figured it out. i need to replace my slave and master cylinder, i tried bleeding my clutch and i still had to manually pull up my pedal. guess air getting in through the resoivor is canceled out.
btw there is a little floating circular piece of plastic in my clutch resoivor, im guessing this is suppose to be in there so you know the fluid level?

i bough a CRX with a B16A swap for 1000 bux from my friend. he told me that he went to down shift and i would not come out of gear. so he gets it into 3rd and stops. when he went to go nothing happend car didnt move. so i buy the car and pull the clutch inspection cover off. start thr car and turn it off. i go under the car and there is a 3in peace of the clutch sitting on the ground allong with those fibers that make you itch like a ***** with crabs lol. so i call him up and tell him the clutch is bad. he tellsme that the clutch barly has 1000 miles on it and cant be the clutch i show him he peace. so i buy a new clutch. competition clutch stage 1 312 bux with tax. i get the car towed to my new house and push it into the garage and about a week later i get thetransmission out. he comes over and this is what the clutch looked like.
the other side is fine and he flywheel is unscaved like new. so install the clutch and lift the tranny in and it went in a littlt too easy so i take everything back apart and the clutch that i bought the splines were a little too big and there was allot of play. i call the people i bought the clutch from (JE Import) and told them my situation. the told me to bring in the clutch i bought and the messed up one^. i drop it off and he told me i would have to wait too days no big deal. so monday i go to pick it up and made sure everything fit and it did i put everything back together and put fluids in and fired it up and took it for a test ride and it was sticky as hell and it felt good. just thought id share my bizzare clutch failure story.

figured it out! i just had to bleed the clutch for a few minutes and blaamo. i think i need to read up on the clutch adjustment screw though. now my clutch grabs a little to far out i want to grab sooner.
now my only concern is leaks in the lines. although there were no signs of leaks in the slave boot or master cylinder behind the clutch pedal. afterall the fluid was low to begin with...

Air could be sucked in through the reservoir if the hose leading to the master cylinder is cracked or punctured. It can also be a worn seal within the master or slave that you visually cant see, a reservoir cap with a seal that isn't sealing up, a bleeder valve or clutch line thats not correctly screwed in place, or even a leak in a clutch line somewhere in your car. Those are just a few issues I could think of off the top of my head.
WHEW! got it fixed....it was not the clutch or slave master. it was the actually clutch line that had a leak. there was a tiny puncture and whenever i would push down the clutch a tiny squirt of liquid would shoot out the rubber piece.
on a stock gsr it is underneath the airbox. later on down the road im going to get a stainless steel braided line. $40 bucks at a local shop here to make it, and worth the money!
COST: mechanic buddy + part + labor = grand total $40 bucks and a smoke out
