Is there any way to tell what year my motor is by the engine ID number? For that matter, is there any way to break down the number like you can on a VIN? I did not get any paperwork with my swap and want to see what I can find out about it.

 

you can find out the year of the motor (that's about the only thing you get from it)but unless you have a hook up w/ dmv you won't be able to get the vin #
