You need to turn up the boost a little bit...those numbers can be made with an NA K24/K20a and basic tune. If i had a K series, there's no way i'd settle for less than 400whp on the stock block, but that's me...

From what I can see (dyno graph w/o rpm FTL) your turbo doesn't hit full boost until 4.5k. I've seen a few T3 b-series (stock) that spool sooner but make 250-300whp. There are also sohc's making more power with 14b's. Are you using 87 octane or something? I really can't see the kit being that much of a limitation, so it has to be something else.

Looking at the 1st graph, your initial tune seemed to get 1psi at ~2100rpm, then took 2500rpm to hit 9psi. I call boost/exhaust leak...

Ok, I thought that too and they are kinda low. I did not have my 3 bar hooked up so i could not go any higher the 10psi. Two, the turbo i have runs out of breath at higher rpms i.e. after 5500rpm's. I'm running the megan b pipe i thought it was 2.5inch but it looks to be 2.25inch. three, I'm running my stock axle back muffler. I have some parts in here that limit my power out put so i can see why i did not see higher numbers. The motor want's to make so much more power but my turbo and exhaust just won't let it at this time. I plan to up my 550's to 750's and run 14psi in 6 months or so. We tried to up the power but jason said without a bigger turbo an exhaust i'm just gunna be limited to this. He also said heat soak was a big problem on the dyno since there is only 10 mph of air flowing through the front and not 70mph of air. He told me the numbers will go up when heat soak is not present. If i was running a rev hard kit i would have had no problem with better numbers but the tq is more then a n/a k will make.

It's not really the kit, it's more the exhaust and turbo. Know a guy that just dynoed at 402whp on k20 with greddy kit and front mount with a sc61. What turbo are you running?

And that's what i'm saying, It's my turbo that came with the kit (t517z) and my exhaust. I wanted to keep the car quite as stock so that's why i left my axle back. I know if i did a full 3inch exhaust and something like a gt28rs or 30 i would break 300 easy. It also dose not help that the turbo i'm running is going out and needs a rebuild. But that's coming next week.

you wanted to keep the car as stock as possible... then why turbo it?

just take off the exhaust and run open downpipe

and the turbo needs a rebuild so soon after tuning... what did you buy a used turbo kit?

stock axle back and small midpipe are no excuse. the car should have made a ton more power, even with the setup the way it is.

if the turbo is hosed, when why did you go back and re-tune?

Somethings not right, even with that exhaust you should make more power than you did.....

The numbers do seem a bit low but what did the tuner have to say about them?

Thats not a good example since you didnt mention what turbo the ls-v was using.I mean a 6 pounds on a gt28 and a gt42 arent going to make the same power

I'm not trying to keep the car as stock as possible. I kept the stock axle back b/c it's quite. The first time i went to get tuned the tunner ran out of time and i had to go back. He told me it's my turbo that's holding my numbers back and if i upgrade i will see the numbers i was hoping for. I did not have a 3bar at the time of the tune so i could not go past 10 psi. I have an buddy club spec 3 exhaust on the way so i will see how much more i make going from 2 1/4 to 3inch.

k24a1 is out of an Accord/Element and is rated at 160hp/161ftlbs tq stock...shitty exhaust + small turbo(on a larger 4banger) @ 10psi= ~80whp increase and ~90wtq increase and you guys think thats terrible?? It's obviously not the most efficient setup but I don't think thats too bad, i think alot of you are getting the k24a1 mixed up with the a2 out of the tsx http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_K_engine#K24A1

I think your right. Even the tuner said, "big motor small turbo = 10hp per psi" So i don't think i did that bad. The turbo will be upgraded and boost will go up. <TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by CivicVX94 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">k24a1 is out of an Accord/Element and is rated at 160hp/161ftlbs tq stock...shitty exhaust + small turbo(on a larger 4banger) @ 10psi= ~80whp increase and ~90wtq increase and you guys think thats terrible??
