Default b16 idling weird

wanted to know if ne1s got any input for this problem. just put a b16 into 97 coupe and after a few problems everythin now seems to be fine apart from the idling, it just wont settle jumping up and down 100 revs or so, not much but its enough to annoy me! no CELs, cleaned out the iac valve, adjusted idle screw, bled the cooling system, tried a p30 & p72, blasted a load of intake cleaner thru it and im running out of ideas...

that sounds like a small vaccum leak to me. you should check the vaccum lines attached to the throttle body and IM. you might as well clean the throttle body anyway. you may of pinched a hole in one of the vaccum hoses during the install.

hey man i had the same problem with my b16 it would idle to high and it would not go down past 2000rpms i remembered that i need to adjust my tps sensor and now my car idle fine and normal. so maybe you should try to see if you tps sensor might need to be adjusted.

Yeah, definitely either your tps sensor or a vaccuum leak somewhere. I know the feeling, it gets annoying, real quick.

cheers everyone, theres a small hole in the metal pipe which comes from the top of the tb, connected to the MAP sensor with vaccum hose, could this be the prob? i tried puttin a bunch of tape and zipties round it but problem still there. also swapped my tps cus mine was snapped, the voltages are correct (.45 shut and 4.5 open) does ne1 know which pins on an odb1 correspond to which pins of the tps so i can check the resistances easily?

rite, iv set up the tps, sorted the 02 sensor (61), iv found a thread on how 2 bypass the ckf, i cleaned out the fitv and the spark plugs, i also replaced the alternator/vss fuse with a 10A one. currently im still gettin all the codes apart from 61. I turned it on, it ran like crap for about 2 secs then the cel light came on and the revs picked up and all seemed ok, it doesnt jump up and down nemore anyway... i switched it off then tried to start it later to get fuel but it spluttered and stalled very quickly then refused to start HELP could it be the V regulator CEL (no. 15 i think) if so how do i fix it theres no threads with answers and iv been car-less 4 ages
