b16 idol problem

b16 idol problem
i have a 1995 del sol with a b16 and my problem is my idol revs up and down between 1200-2300 all the time what might be causing this? what can i do to stop it?

The problems with your IDLE could be an issue with the vacuum system. Use a vacuum tester (available at most auto parts/tools stores) to check.

This usually happens because your idle control sensor its dirty or bad. Usually the problem gets solved once its cleaned. My idle was jumping up and down in my car and it was that one of the bolts was missing from the throttle body.

Make sure to clean your throttle body, start car rev up to 3500 spray carb cleaner in and it will try to stall out just keep doing it to clean it up. When I did the head on my eclipse I had the same problem, cleaned it up and it ran like a champ.
