Default shift trouble

first let me appologize for bad spelling and/or punctuation. im typing from my pda phone.
i just bought a 93 del sol. i have a problem with it where it wont go in to gear while the car is on. its fine while off. i changed the slave cylinder yesterday and bled the system. it reacts the same way. reverse grinds and the other gears (forward) dont work. you can start the car in gear and also slam it into gear and rides fine. other than the fact the gears dont switch correctly. i am hoping that i just didnt bleed it enough but i did it for over an hour as 2 different peoples legs got tired and the clutch is definantly stiff now. i assume its a bad clutch. it also makes a clatter when you press the clutch down and goes away when you release.
i did do some searcging but couldnt locate anything too precise to my problem.
if it is my clutch could someone point me to a good price for one please.

Is the MT fluid low? You might try draining the transmission fluid and replacing with fresh (Honda MT fluid).

Is honda fluid a requirement or is there a comparitive replacement that you can get at a local auto shop? our local honda shop i don't believe is open today.
i actually didn't even think about changing transmission fluid out because i haven't owned a car in 4 years and have only rode my motorcycle. but its all coming back to me slowly.

i would suggest honda tranny fluid, but if you must do it the cheap way, motor oil 5w30 can be used in the tranny on a 93 del sol. please note, only 5w30, which is not the same as what you put in your engine. i bought my clutch from advanced auto parts. i don't remember what i paid, but i do know that i shopped around cause I always do, and they had the best price.
