Oil coming out of Exhaust side of head?? after rebuild
First Turbo car 95 civic ex d16z6 got it rebuilt by a friend of mine that has been building motors for 30 years lots of experiance, we used Lcompression pistons forged eagle rods, the machine shop bored it 30 over so i made sure we got the right pistons and rings, when we put the pistons into the block we used Royal purple synthetic oil to lube the rings... long story short we rebuilt the motor, had compression checked the head and resurfaced, had a few problems getting it to start but got it running, about 5 minutes after running it started smoking really bad, but was running great.. so we shut it off and noticed oil coming out of the Turbo. We thought the turbo was leaking oil so we took it off and Noticed every exhaust port on the head was coated in Oil??? any one have any clue why this would happen, the smoke looks white. But we have oil coming out of the exhaust side of head? need some advice if anyone has had this problem before im really new to this
could be your valve stem seals or your guides, i had a problem like this where oil was looked like it was coming out of the ports but it was from my turbo, the return line was not feeding directly downwards and it was shooting up
its most likely your valve seals bro..did you have the head cleaned (hot tanked)??? if so you probably melted the valve seals and when u went to put the head back on they're leaking oil into the cylinders..if you resurfaced or milled the cylinder head like you said its usually hot tanked after..the oil leaks past the seals down the valves and ends up comin gout the exhaust ports...hope ya figure it out...
