today i put my swap back in after pulling the engine apart and checking things over. got it somewhat running and wanted to take it for a ride to see how it ran. i didnt get on it (like not even passed 1/4 throttle). i heard a pop and something scraping. i shut down immediatly. got as far under the car as i could and didnt see ****. i start it up (no noise) and creep home. i park it, head inside to do some domestic dutys. come back out and theres a puddle under the car. i immediatly freak out, jack the car up and climb under. fluid is pouring out of the bellhousing. this transmission worked FINE when pulled from the car. I cant afford another ITR trans. and ideas what this might be since i wont be able to get to it until thursday.

Whatd you pull apart on your motor? Sounds like the main seal shitted out on you.

 

i pulled the engine engine apart and clearanced everything. i put new cams in and clayed it. NOTHING to do with the trans. popping the seal out doesnt explain the grinding. im so scared that theres a hole in the case.

 

just thought about something else. would a rock break the casing? i dont have a dust shield on my trans. this is the first car ive ever run without one. but my moroso oil pan and smsp header will not allow the dust shield to be mounted.
