Default 10:1 compression ratio

i'm probably going to use 10:1 pistons (brother has a set he will give to me for free!) in my 85mm GE Sleeved LS/V turbo build and would like some feedback and possibly dyno graphs for those of you who are running 10:1 c/r. thanks!

That compression ratio is kinda on the high side. What psi are you trying to run ?

Are you kidding, I LOVE that compression!!! When tuned correctly, it can be a BLAST, on and off-boost. Less boost needed to make the same power.

REMBER THAT MOST VTEC ENGINES ARE HIGHER THAN THAT, ID BE MORE WORRIED ABOUT THE 85MM SLEEVES, BUT THEY WILL BE FINE ASLONG AS UR NOT WAY HIGH ON POWER.

I wouldn't be too worried about it. Many people are starting to use higher compression ratios especially for the street. True, you can run as much boost, but you dont need to run as much to make the same amount of power. With sufficient fuel and the right octane rating, you can make a good amount of power and still have good off-boost.

A year ago i made 472whp with 10:1 arias pistons in a 81.5mm gsr block with stock sleeves, ls crank, SC61 20psi and 93 octane. Motor is still in great condition too.
