b16 swap running like PooP!!! Help

Default b16 swap running like PooP!!! Help

I just had a local shop wire up my vtec stuff and my car is not running right he said it needs a new map sensor so I bought one and it made no diffrence the car idles rough and sound like it bogin out and has no power well a little copared to the DX motor but the vtec doesnt hit like it should I really dont know what to do

Are your tps and map sensors plugs switched? Make sure you have them plugged in to the right ones.

yea I check and plug them in correcly um.... I replaced the Map sensor and disconnected the battery for like 15 minute and it is running better but it still idles rough I did get a o2 sensor code would that cause it to idle rough ?

yes that could also be a problem .. replace the sensor and then go from their

I changed the o2 sensor and clear the ECU but I am still boogin and rough idle to a little better then before. how do I check the codes it still has a check engine light but I dont know if it may have to do with the fact that it was a auto conv to stick and I I have extra **** everywhere but the one that are needed are connected

well you need to find out what the codes are. do the paper clip deal. on the passenger side on the kick panel under the glove box there will be a two wore plug not connected to anthing you need to splice these two wires together or use the paper clip in the end of the plug(connecting the two wires together. thenturn the key to the on position. the check engine light will blink and tell you what the code is then search the code. a long pause is ten. fast blink is 1. check engine light when on will make vtec not work.

VTEC can still work if there is a check engine light on. It depends what is causing it to be on. Just because it's on doesn't automatically mean that VTEC won't work.
