Default Largest turbo with air conditioning

Hey guys, I have a gsr with a half radiator. Going to get a a/c compatible ramhorn and a kit to reroute the a/c lines.

Wasn't planning on building a block anytime soon but came across a good deal on an extra block so im considering going to a bigger turbo than the 57trim t3/t4 ar 63

Was wondering at what point does the turbo housing become too big to fit between the motor and the condenser? Or should I keep that turbo? Was looking at about 450hp

Thanks

Your 57 trim will make very close to 450whp, I'd stick with it

True, but at that power it will be severely stressed. Longevity will suffer in the long run, if continued at that maximum level.

What about running a holset hx-35 or hx-40? I'm not sure if they fit, but I know they won't sweat putting those numbers down.

Yes, the compressor side with face the radiator. It makes it hard to route 4" intake but it can be done. You will also have to knotch your block some but its nothing major. I'm using a full-race AC ramhorn manifold.

A T3 GT35r will also fit my manifold. Should do 600-650whp.

You could also look into a Sidewinder/Hytech style manifold.. Then you wouldn't have any issues with clearance.

Were did you find the reroute a kit? and how much?

I think the GT30 is the best turbo for your power goals.

On the GT side I would say
GT30R
GT35R
and for Precision I'd say
SC34E
SC61E

MindEracer- Muckman had a kit to reroute air conditioning lines. He was selling them for about $150 but i think they were only for DC2's

Thanks guys that is pretty good input. As most a/c users know it is hard searching air conditioning since "a/c" cannot be searched. Gonna definitely look into the precision line some more since it does seem a little easier on the pocket (but i guess that whole budgeting thing went out the window a long time ago )
