Default engine questions.

I have a 1998 accord with a 4 cylinder v-tec engine and just completed a timing belt change and cam, crank, balance shaft seal's due to leaks and I just noticed when I took off the oil cap while engine is running there is a lot of blow by coming from the engine and was wondering if any of you guys have ever run in to this issue before and is it normal. The car runs fine but I am wondering if there is a engine failure looming on this 190,000 car and is it worth overhauling this baby, any input is appreciated.

The puffing air (sounds like your exhaust) and a bit of smoke coming out of the oil hole when the engine is running is normal. If you see a lot of smoke and your seeing smoke out of your tail pipe then I would suggest having a compression test done to check if indeed your rings are failing.
