Hi all. i have a Civic Eg 93 with a B18C4 engine out of a Integra GSR import.
It has a Apexi power fc ecu. Also a S80 box with LSD and exeedy paddle clutch, car runs sweet as a nut as engine is at 47000 miles. The main question i have is the car hits the rev lim at 9,500 i have only taken it above 9,000 6-7 times now and no probs what so ever. but of course dont like to make a habit of doing it on a regular basis as affraid it might cause the piston rings to go after a period of time. The Vtec cuts in at 4,500 and runs right round to 9,500 so in a little car u find u can change at 8 - 8,5 and its still pulls just as much. But the engine seems to burn a fair bit of oil and smoke abit when full throttle on Vtec past 7,500. It has a decat and aftermarket manifold and mugen cat back.
Would you guys Advise getting the car re-maped and getting the Vtec to stop at 8,500 and maby cut in abit earlier or just have a remap and vtec controller????
I havent had the car long and just want some advise from u guys pls...
