Its pretty shady how they removed all stickers on it- I can amost gaurentee that its a p06 converted over-
but anyways its fine as long as it was done properly
In the lower right corner, you can see where its chipped- so your good on that one
Now as for the automatic issue, and the vtec issue-
for the vtec issue check out this sight, find out what board you have, and follow instructions. If it looks like work was done in those areas, then your good to go
http://xenocron.com/install/index.htm
the auto issue shouldnt be bad either-
GL!
and any of the mods wana get rid of my trial status for me?

yea it's chipped it just doesn't have the zif socket you're probably used to seeing. burn a b16 map and give it a whirl.

Will it be okay without the "zif" socket? And for a new basemap do I need a new chip, or can it be done by just plugging into the comp and loading it on?

yes it's fine without the zif socket it's just harder to get the chip in/out. you can reuse this chip you just need a cheap burner. xenocron sells them fo cheap like 65$ i think? or get a friend to do it.
