LS crank sprocket washer?
ok im ready to put the crank sprocket back on and time this thing but i had a few questions about it. im assuming you put the woodruff key in first then slide te sprocket on over it, but i also have a wierd looking washer kind of deal that looks like it probably goes on before the sprocket. its seen better days...got a few minor rust spots on it. do i just put it on before the sprocket, and does the direction that it faces matter?
the sprocket i have is number 14

ok make sure your crank is at TDC. This will put the woodruff key slot on top.
Put a little bit of grease on the key and slide it into the slot on the crank.
Now put alittle bit of grease on the inside of the sprocket slide it on.
Put on your timing belt and do your timing.
Now put on the #15 washer.
Put on the lower timing cover.
then lastly the crank pully.
Hope this helps

the convexed side faces the timing belt. the other way will chew up the belt.
