P2T ECU instead of a P72.
i was being bored today and i was scrubbin the interior down. and i took the ecu out and i was like...wtf a P2T ecu. i thought a B18C is a P72. so i thought i had a OB1 ECU. i went inside and i did a search...its a 99-00 Si ecu. great. the people who did my swap jacked my ecu or something. so i i have a to get a OB2B P72. the question is...is there a different from the OB2A and OB2B ecus? i know my harness is meant for a OB2B (99 Civic). my motor is a 98. will there be any problems?
You need the OBD2B ECU because of the ECU plugs. But OBD2B P72s have immobilizers that you will have to remove (which I know of a writeup). You can always use an OBD1 or OBD2A P72 if you get a jumper harness.
i tried to do a search on yahoo for a ob2b to ob2a harness...nothing came up =/ i hope the Si ecu wont mess up my motor.
