Default boost guestion

Ive been working on my friends civic this weekend. He just recently had a turbo kit installed and the shop that installed it they put a block so you cant raise the boost. How do you raise the boost?

The second question I have is about the blow off valve. To make the blow off valve work louder..do I adjust it softer or harder?

It's called a boost cut, It's so you don't over boost the car, and blow it up. Take it to your tuner, or whoever installed the kit for you and have them raise the boost cut.

its a friends car. I don't think he wants to take it to the shop that installed it. Is there away of removing that? They set his boost at 5 psi. He just wants to run 8 lbs.

what EMS is he using? does he have a boost controller? one way of upping the boost is by getting a larger spring for your WG and letting it run with it.

as for your bov, at 5PSI, i think your just not pushing enough air through it to make the sound youve probably heard on other higher boost applications.

anywho, if you dont know what im talking about by getting a larger wg spring, take it back to the shop.

You're gonna have to re-tune if you raise the boost anyway. Take it to your tuner and let them adjust it for you.
