J's roll center adjusters... I'm thinking about running them...
Well it's been over 3 years since they were introduced, and I was wondering what the current concensus was of them.
- From those who have used them, do you feel it was a worth while mod?
- Has there been any noteable failures of the joint (like previously thought by some)?
- Do they make them for the DA knuckles?
- Where can I get these? Any HT vendors carry them?
- If you don't reccomend them...why?
I did a search, but I couldn't find any new threads (past 06) on this particular part.
TIA!

They are distributor for J's racing, i just recently purchased 3 sets from them, but the wait time is 5 weeks....
i do hope this investment is well worth it

I too would like some recent information from several members who have made the switch. These are banned for most competition use correct?

Damn really? I surely thought there would be at least one class they'd be acceptable in.

SCCA Solo2 Street Mod. Attached to factory suspension points, anything is legal.

if you aren't sure you need them, then you probably don't. you could just as easily screw up the geometry as fix it.

I'm lowered about 2.5" and from the geometry points that I've looked at, its pretty damn hard to say that it would "screw up" the geometry. I would honestly rather take a slight hit in camber to have a higher roll center.

Also,
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=2210343
is apparently going to be (or already is) selling similar RC "adjusters" as well.
But then again, the retailer couldn't actually answer any of my questions without blatantly incorrect claims... which still leaves us without any real information about the usefulness of such a product...

I know of another (more reputable company) making them as well, but are currently in the testing phase so I'm not going to mention who they are. However, if they end up producing them I have no doubts about the benefits.

Raising your roll center will also negatively affect your scrub radius, meaning that you will get more tire scrubbing during bump and roll. Tire scrub is pretty evil as your track is changing dynamically in response to suspension movements. If you have your roll center at ground level you would technically get no scrubbing (although you would need to have parallel control arms, which is not feasible on the honda).
Body roll isn't really that bad as long as it's controlled by good shocks with a large amount of rebound. Personally, I prefer to use Anti-Roll Bars to limit body roll, along with a set of Koni Yellows to control the transient characteristics.

I'm pushing to the edge of my knowledge level here...
But wouldn't running lower offset wheel help offset the change in scrub radius? We want to keep approximately the same negative scrub radius the car came with, and lower offset wheels reduce scrub radius.
