Engine died, no spark
So I was driving home last night and my engine just stalled while in gear.
I pulled over, and tried cranking the engine.
Battery and alternator seemed fine, it cranked forever.
So next I listened for the fuel pump under the back seat and heard it working when i put the key to ignition position.
Finally I pulled all the spark plug wires and watched them while I cranked. No spark.
My question is what are all the possibilities for me to check here if its spark?
Dont think its the wires or plugs since they all went out.
I was thinking maybe distribtor igniter but wouldnt that give me a CEL?
I have no CEL by the way.
Thanks.

Yeah, prime suspects would be the coil and igniter/ICM in the distributor. You should also check for blown fuses and have a look at the timing belt -- it may have snapped.
stick a screw driver in the plug boots then almost ground the screw driver but leave a 1/4 gap between the screw driver and the ground spot check for spark then. if no spark it might be your coil. you can check those with an ohm reader and get the spec's from a chiltons or haynes.
