Default Changing crankshaft seal on a D16z6

Its that time again to fix the oil leak.

Quick question, how do you go about removing the crankshaft seal *driver side of the engine*?

I have a crazy leak (pictures can be found at https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=2247537)

For removal, these are a list of parts I've compiled.
- Crankshaft seal (confused on which one is front and rear)
- Oil pan seal
- Timing Belt
- Oil Pump seal
- *Water pump seal (just incase its leaking)
- Hondabond (or Permatex)
- Some new Oil and oil filter

Is there anything else that I might need?

Also, since I will be disconnecting the engine from the driver's side engine mount, will the other two hold it up fine?

Thanks in advance,
Jon

Found some information from this thread.

yes remove the pully and timing components including timing gear. then use a flat blade screwdriver to pop out the seal (comes out easy) just dont scratch the crank. And to install new seal I usually just use a socket the size of the seal and tap it in. Don't push it in all the way just until the seal is flush with the surface of the pump.
</TD></TR></TABLE>

Any other information I should be aware of?

The front is the crank pulley end and the rear is the flywheel end..
Make sure to reset the timing afterwards-set to TDC before removing the timing gear.

its really not that hard..

THanks for that, yeah Ive rebuilt engines but never really done it with the engine in the car. Just taking precautions. Thank you for the info.
