hey Honda tech i need your help my car has been acting very funny lately i own a 2000 civic si. so here is the problem in the morning before going to work i warm up my car and it goes to normal temp. the car idles at 800 rpm like it suppose to but 15 min. into driving the car the cars idle 1200 rpm and it bounces to 1500 rpm very fast i have no idea what it is and i already sawped the iacv. so please help me out i dont know wtf is wrong with this car some ideas please any input is accepted.

Bleed the cooling system of possible air bubbles and check for potential air intake or vacuum leaks.

ok so i bled the cooling system of the car but i did it through the radiator cap cause i did not find the bleeder valve for the cooling system can anyone help out

 

That's right. To bleed the cooling system, let the engine cool, then push the heater lever to full heat. Turning on the heater blower is unnecessary. Top off the coolant level in the radiator and reservoir. Put the radiator cap on loosely. Let the engine idle until the radiator fan turns ON at least twice. Again top off radiator and reservoir if necessary, and tighten radiator cap. Done.

how do u push the heater lever to full heat b/c im having the same problem right now

 

Inside your car....put the **** to RED.

 

where in the car though?.. sorry i just dont know this stuff

 

lol you shouldnt be owning a car then lol. Move the lever all the way to hot thats all then proceed to bleed.

The heater lever on the dash - not the blower lever.
