Any other way to get around this? I heard someone suggest a copper sealant? (sounds terribly unsafe though) The block is a b18b1 being rebuilt for a mild turbo use later on, but I'm not looking into spending the money to get it bored and buy new pistons.

Any input is better than nothing

Might as well do it right, bore it. Your block is gonna be under a lot or stress with the FI anyway.

^What the hell does boring more have to do with added stress from FI???

Seriously, you would be better off getting a bare block thats in good shape and swapping over the internals. ...Rather than buying new pistons, I mean.
Dont try to "repair it" with sealants...it wont work (I honestly dont even know what youre talking about).

Bore it and get new pistons. Sleeve it. Get a bare block to replace it.
Those are pretty much the only choices....3 being the most economical

Overbore to 81.5mm and get a set of 81.5mm forged pistons...unless its already at 81.5mm, there's no reason not to
