Default DIY... change color of your dash light buttons

ok. the reason why i am posting up this is because i had been trying to figure out how to do it myself. so... i taught myself.

supplys:
paint of selected color.( i used a trasnparent candy apple red for the hobby store)
fllat head screwdriver
tape.
and patience.

ok the switch i decided to go after first was the rear defogger switch.

stick your screwdriver inbetween the dash and the buttons, and pry it out.(dosn't take much effort)

pop the button/switch out of the caseing arround it.

now pop the front of the button off of the switch.

tape up the back end of the button so you don't get paint all over the place.

pick up you paint of choice. ( mine was a transparent candy apple red)
spray about 2-3 light coats. don't do one heavy b/c it takes forever to dry.

once dry clip everything back together and take a look at you masterpiece

i decide to go futher and red L.E.D. lights for my gage clucter and i painted the bulbs in my climate controll, the face to the climate controll, and my ash tray light.

my next progect is to make an OEM style V-tec light in my gage cluster...

that's pretty nifty.

How bad was it to get the LED lights into the cluster?

I'm just looking for the CRV cluster that's already amber...

it wasnt bad at all. i ordered #74 led bulbs. so they fit right in.

this is where i ordered them from. just make shure you order the right size, and ammount or bulbs, b/c they took about a week and a half to come in.
