Hook a hose up to the backside of the head via the oil pressure sender. It's pretty well documented.

I've heard of people doing it but during a recent search I found a pic showing an LS block compared to a VTEC block. The deck on the VTEC has more material where the oil hole is. The LS block doesn't have material in that location so it isn't as simple a drilling a hold for the oil to come up. I guess you could have someone weld in a chunk of aluminum so that it could be drilled or if you were building one of those tall deck plate engines you could do it. It doesn't seem like there is an easy way except to use an external line.

I bought my car 6 years ago with an ls/vtec setup with no external oil line, but I don't have the old block anymore so I have nothing to compare it to. damnit.
