I have a 93 civic that I swapped a LS obd1 motor in it. When I first start it in the morning and then step on the clutch it dies right away. I restart it again and from there on it doesn't die once I step on the clutch again but it always dies when I'm slowing down or coming to a stop. The only way to keep it running is to give it gas before I come to a complete stop. When it dies, I can start it back up.

Any ideas and suggestions is greatly appreciated.

Also I have tried cleaning and adjusting my FITV AND IACV. No difference.

 

i had the exact problem with a ford escort. I finally took it to a mechanic and he discovered there was a vacuum hose that had came loose and therefore pressure was being lost and that was why the car wouldnt idle. hope this helps
