ok, iam having a problem with my timing belt. it keeps slipping towards the middle of the cam gear. everything is tight and been triple checked and the only thing keeping it on is the plastic pieces that go around the belt (i only have the bottom one). if someone could help me with this asap it would be appreciated. thanks and God bless.

 

So you its "skipping teeth" while its on the cam gear? If so, either the belt/cam gear is worn or its just not tight enough.

 

no its not skipping teeth. when we put it on the camr gear and tighten everything and i start the car the belt will just move to were the belt is a little more then half on. we have tightened everything but the belt still isnt very tight. you think i need a new tensioner (cant spell)?

 

Tensioner is a good idea, Also were did you get the Belt from..... Did they Give you the right belt....

 

got it from autozone and iam guessing it was the right belt. i guess i can check and see if someone has one i could borrow to see if i had the same problems. should i check for anythign else?
