Are you replacing it with a certified one?

Or just a bolt that fits from Lowe's/ hardware store.

which bolt? A mounting bolt or the adjusting bolt?

I broke an adjusting bolt by accident once on a 94 EX but never had a problem with a mounting bolt.

well the first one that broke was from a junkyard out of another accord but then i bought 2 from honda and they both broke this last one was a grade 8 bolt from napa. it lasted about 6 months and i started the car up last night the belt was squeeling popped the hood and their it was hanging half way out with the other end still threaded in the bracket. If you are looking at the motor from the front it is the long one that runs through the top of the alternator. The mount doesn't appear to be bent or missaligned.

I broke the top one. I could not get the broken one out so I just run the car with two bolts.
