Default Problem with tranny, clutch or something else? HELP!

I will try to explain my situation but let me warn you that I am not good at explaining things. But here goes.

I have been having problems with the car shaking and it didn't seem that bad until today when it got worse. When I start the car and then step on the clutch pedal to shift it in first, it starts shaking and goes away when I let go of the clutch and give more gas. It doesn't happen when I step on the clutch and when I'm on neutral. Also, it is hard to shift it in gears especially when I try to downshift. For example I am on third gear and I am coming to a stop so I shift to second to slow down.

Today it died on me twice for no reason. I was in an intersection turning right so I stop and as I was getting ready to go, I fully step on the clutch to put it in first, the car shook abruptly and died! WTH!?

I was thinking that it might be the clutch but then again it only happens when I am in gear so it might be the tranny. PLEASE CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT IS WRONG WITH MY CAR?!

if I'd shakes(meaning the car hesitates) and u stalled, it could be ur idle, chk ur rpm next time it should be around 800 it could also be a mount or the clutch but those two having nothing to do with ur car sralling out on u

Does the car only shake in 1st? If so maybe your not reving enough to move the car and it wants to turn off?

Good luck finding out what it is though.

My idle is fine. It stalled on me even though my foot was "fully" on the clutch pedal while on first. The shaking is not like when the car is stalling, its more of an agressive shaking.

I had a similar situation. I dunno for sure if it's your problem, but you should see if your Clutch master/slave cylinder are not leaking. Also your clutch could need replacing. I had problems getting into every gear before, because there was broken pieces of clutch in the pressure plate locking out shifts.

Good Luck!!

It could be many things.

Bad clutch, broken spring, warped flywheel, internal tranny issues.

I would say pull the tranny and inspect the clutch/flywheel first.
