i was driving today and i put it on 1st gear and it roll as normal then when i put it on 2nd gear it just wont grab and over rev cuz i didnt grab so i stop and tried putting it back to 1st gear and it just wont go anymore i was wondering what can cause this problem.i can put the gear in first and even if i let go of the clutch it doesnt stall.
i had just put a new clutch in 5 months ago.

im up with this dude^^^^^^^ slave cylinder or master cylinder that could be it too.... and maybe try bleeding it too!

 

what stage clutch, my friend had a teg nd the clutch kept goin out, he had a stage 3 clutch and he had no mods, so he had to install a stage one clutch and it stop goin out on him,

 

i dont think is the clutch cuz if it the clutch it would not go in gear and should make some grindy noise.
i'll check my fluid?
anything else?

 

^i highly doubt switching to the stage one was the solution...maybe he installed it right this time or broke it in correctly.

OP does the pedal return?

 

ok so the pedal goes back up, it still has the same pressure as it was normal.
it just wont grab when it goes in gear and even if i let go of the clutch it pops back up but it doesnt stall.
anyone?

What car? I'll guess it is a DA with a cable transmission. If so, the clutch may need to be adjusted. Does the pedal have any resistance?

 

does the speedo go up when you put in in gear with the clutch out and rev it up...seen that problem a few times where axles will pop out..could also be a transmission...get us some more details...what kind of car and more info on the problem

i dont think its the tranny cuz if it is it wouldnt be goin in gear.
ok as i was driving around the neighborhood it was driving normal then all of the sudden i taught i lost second gear cause it just rev up then i went for a full stop then i tried putting it on first gear and next thing you know the car just revs up when you gas.i tried turning off the car maybe its just a wire grounding but when i tried the same thing to first gear same thing happen

basically the problem is, it just wont go anywhere when i put it gear, it makes some noise when i put in reverse the same noise the tranny makes when you reverse just not going anywhere.

 

sounds to me like an axle popped out.... usually it will be a problem with the ps axle as the driverside has the halfshaft, but check both of them...a quick way to figure out if this is your problem is put the car in 2nd gear let the clutch out and hit the gas... watch your speedo...if the speedo goes up this means more than likely one of your axles has popped out, could also be an internal tranny problem but more than likely an axle is to blame

glad it was something so easy.... might seem like a odd question but is it a napa axle???LOL had lots of problems with them... if it is i might sugguest replacing it with something else other than napa... Good luck glad i could help

 

it was from winchester auto parts but then its already been like 2 years old

 

sounds like it just popped out ...reinstall the axle and make sure its completely in the transmission and you should be off and running again!!
