Re: Help how to change front brake pads (thunderboy)
have u ever changed brakes in your life? if not then i would buy some cheap manual for your car and follow it step by step, any gorilla with half a brain should be able to do this.

Re: (clean3two3)
I would say have someone who's done brakes before show you your first time, however if you knew someone like that i doubt you would be asking us. Some rules the books don't mention that are drilled in my brain from years of racing are: #1 don't touch the pad surface period. your fingers have oils in them and usually more when your wrenching on the car. When i set up brakes on a track car i use clean neoprene gloves when i install the new pads. Actually i do this on street cars that get driven hard as well. #2 a little anti-squeel on the caliper where it meets the pad is usually a good idea. #3 try to avoid cutting rotors if you drive crazy at all. Cutting rotors removes metal thus reducing rotor thickness. Integras have **** brakes to start with in the sense that you can easily overwhelm them after as little as one minute of real racing. As i read this i'm now laughing at the fact i'm speaking like you are about to go gran turismo on the road when chances are you just want to change your brakes..lol.

Re: (idrivesideways)
^^ good advice
another thing to remember, after you complete the job don't forget to pump the brake pedal to build up the caliper piston's pressure

do the obvious. jak the car and pull the wheel off. LOOK at the brake caliper n u will c 2 bolts should be 12 mm. pull the bottom 1 off and pull the bolt out of the sliding pin. and flip the caliper up so that u expose the pads. simple u I was a honda tech 4 3 yrs u dont have 2 take the top bolt out just the bottom and flip.
some things that u will need. get some high heat brake grease and spread it out on the pad. evenly and like b4 mention DO NOT touch the brake pad surface. O BTW get u some UREA grease (cant be bought from the parts counter at honda) and lube ur caliper slide pins while u have it out the caliper from the flip position will slide right wipe it clean 1st then with ur finger wipe some the grease on there. slide the top back in put ur pads on. flip ur caliper back down. put the bolt back in. Just make sure its tight. thats it put the wheel bak on. DO NOT 4 GET 2 PUMP THE BRAKES BUT DONT TAKE THE PEDDLE 2 THE FLOOR JUST MODERATELY pushing 2 hard n u can damage the caliper. good luck n have fun.
