p2p ecu obd2

Default p2p ecu obd2

well im going to do the y7 manual manifold to y8 manual manifold only this coming thursday and i was wondering should i buy a p2p ecu?
or just keep the p2e?

by the way how you check if your iacv is working?

keep your p2e. and also if there is no CEL for iacv.then it is good. just clean it from time to time and u are good

No, you shouldn't use a P2P ECU, your flow won't be changing by that much, keep the stock Y7 one.

What the [freak] does that mean?

OP: Keep the P2E and either use a y8 Auto throttle body or your y7 throttle body. Just keep the IAC thats on the back connected so you dont get a huge vac leak.

Why your still running a y7 motor. Sure the p2p can run a y7 but youll need to add a KS and youll throw codes for VTEC equipment. Your call if you like running in semi crappy conditions have at it.

is this the right plug to do the 2 wire iacv?
shitty problem is that the wires are different color.

No need for the P2P Ecu.

Swap any 96-00 Automatic EX manifold, and its a direct swap cause it uses the 3-wire IACv setup on the TB, not the 2-wire ones that the 5spd's have.

well all you do is move the black/blue wire to a12 slot and leave the orange hanging ?

well my car is a 2000 civic dx i think you give me the wrong wiring!!!

p2p ecu is for a vtec engine, so, unless you have a y8 under the hood, forget you ever saw the p2p designation.

p2e is for a y7, and will ONLY operate a 3-wire iacv. it, in no way, shape or form will ever be able to operate a 2 wire iacv. the katman info is for when you are putting a vtec engine in a 6th gen dx/cv/lx or 6th gen AUTO ex and you want to not run added iacv wires. it allows you do use the existing wires with some pin jumping in the plug, and leaves an add'l free wire in the harness to use for whatever- vtec, knock, whatever...

what it doesn't do is allow you to control a 2-wire iacv with an ecu that only runs a 3-wire iacv.

so, your options are...and man this has been covered so much, but, ummm, oh yeah, the options are-

y7 tb, y8 manual mani, 2 wire iacv attached but not live, p2e ecu

y7 tb, y8 auto mani, p2e ecu

y8 auto tb, y8 auto mani, p2e ecu

then i wonder why people keep telling me to get the manual d16y8 when your car is a manual.
so wtf i suppose to do now?

i just leave the iacv on the back and use the y7 TB but what i do with the 2 plug thingy?
y7 tb, y8 manual mani, 2 wire iacv attached but not live, p2e ecu
could i just do the y8 TB,Y8manual mani and cut and splice the wire to 2 wire iacv but then again i do i have to do the the ecu jumping wire?

the two coolant pipes on the iacv? just leave them as they are, they are just a loop to help the iacv out w/ temp, if it was hooked up...
