Weird ignition problem. SEARCHED
I was having a terrible spark related problem. The higher I revved, the more intense it got. Anyways I needed to change spark plugs anyways. Did. Its still there. TODAY I started testing for arching n stuff, and found out that my spark plug wires are apparently doing great. When I accidentally touched the ignition screew thats on top with a screwdriver, I got one hell of a shock. I placed it near again, and sparks where arching from the screw to the screwdriver when I would ground the screwdriver against a wire. To further test, I grounded a piece of cable on the chassis and touched the screw again, big time spark. Is there any way i can open up the ignition and fix/solder whatever thing is lose and causing this? Thanks for the help!
Cliff notes
- Spark archs from an ignition screw when touched by a grounded source.
- Want to fix this thing myself, as in open up the ignition and fix whatever wire is grounding around wrong.
THANKS!
EDIT: Ok I believe I've got this all wrong. Its not the ignition, but the DISTRIBUTOR what I'm talking about. I'm sorry for the misinformation, english is not my first language!
