Default Clifford RSX3.5 installation problem

So, I'm installing this alarm in a 95 Integra. I hooked up the power wire, the ground, the siren, the lock and unlock and such. Just the basic stuff. None of the ignition cut or the remote start stuff yet. I'm just testing it to make sure the brain is good and it locks and unlocks and such.

But i'm not getting a response from the brain when I hit the the buttons on the remote. I know the brain is getting power because the shock sensor flashes when it gets touched.

Anybody have any ideas on whats going on??

You may have to program the remote, to do so you will need the ign. input, you will need to install the remote start relay pack to get ign. input, or if you are not doing remote start, [and you should not be if your G3 is a 5 speed] use the yellow lead in the ribbon harness and connect it to a "true" ign. source, [black/yellow in ign. harness] you can remove, [de-pin] the rest of the leads in the ribbon harness.

For the system to work all you need is 12V+ constant power, [red H1/2] ground, [black H1/5] siren output, [brown H1/3] and the siren grounded, the LED, valet/program switch and ant. plugged in.

If the system does not respond to the remote, the remote will have to be programed to the alarm or you have a problem with the system, either a defective R/F section in the main unit or the ant. is defective or not plugged in properly.

To test any farther you need to connect up "ign." to the main unit. 94

thanks for the response. I figured out the problem. The brain was dead out of the box. I took the brain out of my other car and plug it in. and everything works.

Did you use the remote from the other car also, or were you able to program the new remote to it? 94

I tried to program the remote to the brain. But I didn't get any response at all. Tried it about 10 times, No response at all. So I decided to pull the brain out of my other car and try it. and everything works. So that confirms the wiring was done correctly.

My buddy bought it from a member on here. Never got around to installing it. And had me install it today. I'm waiting until Monday to give Clifford a call and what my options are.

I tried looking around to see if any places would sell the brain alone, or brain with remote. I know its a long shot, because those are the most important and most expensive part of an alarm. But couldn't find any places that sells them.

If you can put it into and out of valet with the valet/program button then it is a good bet that the only thing wrong is the remote(s) need to be reprogrammed.
