Default OBD1 swap questions

I'm putting a b18b1 from a 94 teggy into my 97 Civic Hx. I've researched through the forums for a while but I still have some questions. If i get a p75 ecu and a rywire jumper, can i just hook up the obd1 ecu to the existing wiring in my car. I'm sure people but obd1 motors in obd2 cars all the time. What's involved? There's probably a thread on this that I missed, but if someone could give me some info i'd appreciate it.

You are going to have to change a few things around on your existing engine wire harness (or new motor). There is a difference between OBD-1 & 2 fuel injector plugs as well as the distributor plugs. This means you will either have to change the injector plugs, or the injectors. This goes the same for the distributor plugs or distributor. This is easy if your motor comes with the OBD-1 harness as you can just clip of the plugs you need. Then simply solder & heat-shrink them onto your existing engine harness.

Everything else should be good, except you'll probably have to extend some wires so plugs can reach their respective sensors on the new motor. You may also be left with a couple extra OBD-2 plugs here & there, but you simply zip-tie them back & all should be good...

BTW: Not sure if the HX uses a wide-band O2 sensor or not (for fuel economy). If it does, you will have to convert it's plug over to a standard 4-wire O2 as found on every other civic. If not, then no worries...

Thanks for the help. I'd still need the obd2-to-obd1 jumper harness for the ecu right?
