Default Rear brake caliper piston removal.

So i'm attempting to re-build a set of rear ITR brake calipers. I've taken the caliper off (obviously) and now im trying to get the piston out. I've used a long flat head to twist the assembly most of the way out. It's about 1" from the pad clamps, so it's almost there. Now heres the problem, it just keeps twisting, but not coming up or out any further, and it'll get kind of stuck at one point on each revolution. Am I missing something / is there a special trick at this point?

That's why you just buy a rebuilt caliper.

Much easier

Too bad they're very expensive, especially considering that its an ITR rear caliper. I'd much rather spend the $15 for the seal kit and spend time rebuilding it rather than money.

once youve rotated the piston all the way out you need to blow the piston out of the caliper with compressed air just like the fronts if you were to rebuild them

right and thats what I was attempting, but I cant find a good way to get sealed air into the caliper. The fitting on the air line doesn't seal, letting air back out and not putting enough pressure on the piston. So, which fitting do I need or...?

alright, I got it out. It was already off the thread on the inner part, just had to knock it loose from the seal with a long flathead. Now my next question is, it's filly as **** inside there, what's safe to use to clean in there?
