just bought a b16a4 motor, they told me it was a direct bolt on plug and play to my 99 civic ex....i then relized that it was a obd2a motor and i have a obd2b car..

i under stand that my civic is OBD2B and the motor is OBD2A, the ek4 came with an obd2a ecu (p2t) but doesnt plug in my stock harness....

im trying to double check and ask will my engine wiring harness will work on that motor.... motor came off of a ADM (AsianDM) Civic Ek4 SIR-II 96+... what needs to be replaced.... i have the necessary motor mounts

will d series axle fits?
will d series clutch lines fit?
will d series heater hoses fit?
do i need to change or modify my engine wiring harness?
can i run a obd2b ecu (99+ civic si b16a2 p2t ecu) do i need to get a jumper harness to run the sir ecu (p2t but its obd2a)

well first off, i wouldnt recommend putting anything d series on a b series motor, especially axles lol

as for your ecu, i believe they offer adapaters


as far as clutch lines, ebay this item "earls 5 speed conversion ss braided clutch line"

makes all stock civic clutch lines useless and its alot easier to use

i recommend this instead of using stock clutch lines. its fits the b and d series tranny and is a direct line from master to slave cylinder.

 

as far as the axles and hoses, NO u have to get 94+ integra axles or 99-00 si axles. yes your harness will work but u may need to extend some plugs to reach the new sensors. as for the ecu, you have 2 options, get a 99-00 si ecu from obd2b with b16 or u can use a 00-01 integra gsr /type r ecu. and your second option is to get a jumper harness from obd2b to obd1 and run a p72/p30/p63 or chipped p28. you will need to add a knock sensor, actually no u wont cause the 96 and up ex had one so forget that. yes your clutch lines and slave cylinder from the d series is the same. you will also need the axle half shaft from the teg or 99-00 si. hope this helps ya
