Need help with wiring a B16A2 swap....
Ok, I have swaped a B16A2 (99 Si) into a 96 Civic DX.
For some reason I cannot get any fire to the engine.
I utilized a 98 Civic EX's wiring harness and I still only have the ECU from the Si (P2T). My engine isn't throwing any codes, but yet, still no fire.
I checked the timing, changed cables and bought a new distributer.
My question is, what could be the problem? Could it be the ECU? Since I am using a OBD2a wiring harness and using a OBD2b ECU?
Is it possible to use the 99 Si's wiring harness in my DX.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Well, if you are using the 98 ex harness, you will notice only two of the three plugs go into the pt2 ecu. You will need to get a jumper harness made to use that ecu or locate a 97 del sol vtec ecu. You have lots of options on ecu choices, but whatever you choose, it will need to plug in all the way. And no, the si harness will not work on your car.

i have a 98 civic with the LSVTEC (b18a w/b16a2 head). im also using the pt2 ecu and wiring harness as well. but there's only two plugs that go into the ecu. i also repinned some wires around to make everything work right. only thing thats not hooked up is the evap system. you will get a CEL but vtec works perfect in the car. even though it works, i plan on switching to a new harness to incorporate all plugs because the CEL troubleshooting doesnt work on the ecu.
i suggest to get plugs that fit your ecu and repin the 98 harness into that plug. let me know what you got when you're done.

I'm on the hunt now for a P30 (DelSol) ecu.
We are going to try to use a GSR ecu and see if I can atleast get it started.
Thanks for the info and if anyone else has any input, please feel free to share it.

I was using a 96 GSR ecu on a 99 b16a2 into my 97 hx. Works pretty damn good, besides the bog from VTEC coming in to early.
