Default Built Single Cam turbo Non VTEC

Hello, im new to honda-tech and honda's in general. I am trying to figure out what the best D series motor to boost is, and what parts i need to get to build the motor up properly to handle 20+psi

I want dont want to run a B series i want to stick with D series NON V-TEC turbo hopefully with a GT30 or a TD04 since i have those two turbos allready.

Any insite on parts to get would be great...

Thanks

http://www.turbod16.com is a good place to read up. im running a vitara set up on my y8. dont set your goal as psi, set a whp goal and work from there.

um....you wanna boost a non-vtec? If you wanna stick with a D series why not swap your non vtec with a D series that has V tec? Idk. Imo, it seems pointless to boost the motor you have. And your going to be spending a lot more money to build a single cam, stick with a b series.

but to answer your question. a JDM D15B or D16z6, D16y8 would be more suitable for boost.

no you dont have to spend mroe money on a SOHC...takes 2k to sway in a b series.
with 2k you could get a z6 long block and vitara piston and eagle rods for under a grand...and then have a grand to spend on a turbo kit that could potentially push 300=400 hp SOHC daily driven...

PSI is arbitrary. Plan for a power goal, not a pressure goal.

A d16a6 is the engine you're looking for. It's a SOHC non-VTEC, and it's just as stout as the other SOHC's, VTEC included.
