Default Build Single cam turbo

Hello, im new to honda-tech and honda's in general. I am trying to figure out what the best D series motor to boost is, and what parts i need to get to build the motor up properly to handle 20+psi

I want dont want to run a B series i want to stick with D series NON V-TEC turbo hopefully with a GT30 or a TD04 since i have those two turbos allready.

Any insite on parts to get would be great...

Thanks

This would probably be better/faster answered in the Forced Induction section.

A lot of people like to rap on the D in this forum, have you checked out http://www.turbod16.com it's a great resource and people over there won't tell you to swap a B in when you ask a question on the D.
First off don't buy an ebay turbo kit, they are junk. Since you already have turbos I assume you know how the setup works. You'll want to rebuild the bottom end with the usual.. forged rods, forged low compression pistons.. etc You might want to look at getting the block resleeved, from what I've heard Darton makes good sleeves.
Engine management will make or break your motor (literally) On Hondas what is usually done is a chip is soldered onto the circuit board so you can get the car hooked up to a computer and tuned. The tuning programs (crome, Uberdata, hondata) edit the ECU so the car will be able to see boost and run right.
Also if you are going to run 20PSI of boost you are going to have to upgrade the map sensor, you can get the GM 3 bar or Motorola 2.5 Bar, there's other options but I don't remember them. Xenocron.com has some good ones
That's enough for now, It's 9:39 and I'm still trying to figure out if I'm really hung over or if I'm still drunk

I feel like typing more actually. Since you said you have two turbos I'll assume you know what your doing and I'll stick to some stuff that's more specific to Honda's than turboing in general.

ECU stuff, you are going to want switch to OBDI so if you are not OBDI you will need to find an OBDI computer and a jumper harness. Then you might need some small bits of something depending on if you are upgrading or downgrading to OBDI.

Alot of exhaust manifolds won't let you keep Air Conditioning, be prepared for this. Also you might have to cut up part of your radiator fan or else get a slimmer one to allow your turbo assembly to clear it.

Besides that you gotta just stick to the turbo basics. So turbo, manifold, intercooler/piping, turbo oil feed/return line, your normal array of guages, downpipe, bigger injectors, bigger fuel pump, FPR...etc..

What I think is the most important ENGINE MANAGEMENT, you might as well throw your new turbo motor in the trash without it. Get familiar with the search function and you should be fine.

My response is a d16z6 (y8 have bearing problems) and a vitara setup.
turbod16.com for the motor part
pgmfi.org for the tuning
xenocron.com for tuning parts
