you will be modifying and reusing your stock engine harness or buying a 96-98 ex engine harness anyway so it doesn't really matter. But if your talking about pluging in a b18c harness to a skock tower on an ek then the answer is no they dont fit. duct tape, hot glue and a torch would make them fit though.

No, you can't use the OBD1 harness, because it's a 2 piece harness. Your '96 Civic has a 1 piece harness, meaning the harness goes to the engine all the way to the ecu. The 2 piece (OBD1) goes from the engine to the shock tower plugs (1st harness), the shock tower plugs then go to the ecu (2nd harness). So you HAVE to use the stock '96 OBD2A Civic engine harness. Just as a side note, OBD2 Integras also have the 2 piece harness.

The only differences you should really have to worry about, besides adding the vtec wires, is the distributor plug, alternator plug, and injectors (you could just use the OBD2 injectors). Everything else should be plug and play.
