Default Oil Temp Gauge

I would like to know if there is a easy way to install such a gauge on a ITR.

yup.

Drill a hole in your Oil pan, tap it, insert sender, and wire the bisch up.

I think they make sensors that screw into and replace your drain bolt....now thats easy. I think GReddy makes them...autometer might too.

autometer's sending unit is too large for our drain bolt.... you would ahve to bore out a GOOD bit of material to thread the autometer sending unit into our drain plug. I would NOT suggest doing so. Not sure of other options for sending units from other manufaturers.

Do I need to remove the oil pan to do that? I'm worry about the "deposit" from drilling may get to the inside (of the oil pan).

if you feel like it, you can coat your drill bit and tap in petroleum jelly, and most if not all of the chips will be retained on the outside of the pan. flush with a bit of oil, and be done with it.

your choice.
