Where to tap for oil temperature gauge?
Where should I tap for an oil temperature sender on a B17?
I am planning on tapping in the back of the head where you would if you were doing an LS/VTEC on an LS head, is this OK?
Is there anywhere particular that I should tap that will give me an accurate reading?

I wouldn't worry about the oil temp gauge as much as the oil pressure gauge. Do you already have the pressure gauge?

Irrelevant to my question but yes, I have installed the oil pressure, water temp, boost, egt, and AEM AFR gauge.
I need to know where I should tap for oil temp.
Please no more responses about what OTHER gauges I should have. THanks. (this is not for my car by the way)

i have always thought having it on the pan is better since its after its been in the motor so its a more true temp of the oil

On the oil pan.. there are also sensors with which you just replace original drain screw in oil pan, so no hassle to install.
