I want to tighten loose bouncey side mirrors. Possible? Searched--- nothing
is the mirror glass itself loose? or are you talking about the whole mirror assembly/housing?? if it's the whole thing, then pull the little black cover off ( you might have to pull off the door panel too, can't remember for sure) and then tighten the nuts on there.. but being that that is so easy to figure out, i'm assuming that's not what you meant..
if it's just the glass, to tell you the honest to god truth.. .when mine starts doing that, i start calling my alignment guy.. and every time, though not very often, my alignment is off.. as soon as he straightens me out, no vibration.. for some reason, it's not enough to feel in the steering wheel, seat, or whatever, but it makes my mirrors vibrate on the freeway.. when i bought my first car (ford ranger.. ok truck) the drivers side mirror shook, and my dad insisted that i should get the alignment checked.. being the teenager that i was, listening to my parents at the same moment they told me something, was usually the last thing i did lol.. but now, 4 years later, i listened to my dad.. and VIOLA!!! no more shaky mirrors..
but i'm sure there is a better answer than that..

Yeah its just the glass, not the housing. I don't think my alignment is that bad either, but I do need a camber kit.

The bubble gum wrapper just might work. I used a piece of paper towel in my rearview connection, and now it's tight like cement.
BTW - I'll never turn the SUBS down. LOL
But seriously. Even when my subs are down, my drivers side mirror shakes just enough to blur my vision. My rearview mirror was loose too, but I recently figured out how to tighten it, and now even with subs on it stays in the right spot.
So I was thinking the side mirrors loosend over the years like my rearview did. There has got to be a way to tighten them. I will figure it out myself if I don't get an answer, then i'll let yawls know.
Peace
