Only problems i know of is with old school VIS hoods. As far as i know they change the design so they do not hit anymore. Other then that you should be good.

im running a turboed lsvtec in my del sol.. it came with the b16.. i had a little rubbing of the valve cover on the hood very minor i just took washers and longer bolts for my hood hinge's and it solved it.. i dont know if you want a lifted hood though

thank you ... that is exactly what i wanted to here... that means the b18c5 would REALLY rub... and i def don't want a raised hood...

does anyone know if they make a CF hood for the del sol that raises up... like the JDM up bump from VIS for the crx

I always thought the EK and EG areas should be separated. Search is one of the reasons.

so for the "old" vis hods its a no go... do they make a bumped up hood or not?

more help on this would be great... for future swappers

No, b16's do not rub they come with that motor from the factory with plenty of clearance.

I wasn't talking about the B18c5 I was talking about the B16 you quoted the previous post about his setup rubbing. I am very aware the height difference between the motors, I was only clarifiying his statement saying there is plenty of clearance with the stock B16. Learn to read dumbass if your going to ask people for help and be a *** to them.

quit being a *****. His post is on topic because he was correcting previous info that was incorrect. A b16 came factory, so trust me, it will fit with plently of room, so if you use a stock hood with a b18, it should fit. There's your answer dumbass.

if b18c's fit with no problem why would a c5 find issue?
