DIY: 11.1" rear disc upgrade for Civics with 9.4" rear discs
Nothing on a disc spindle. If you have drums, you can use this rotor plus a custom drum to disc adapter plate and run ITR calipers/pads/brackets on this rotor for more bite.
Also you can use a custom adapter to run 300ZX calipers (opposed 2 piston) but you will have no e-brake so I'm not going to design a bracket for that application since there was no demand for rear Legend calipers (lighter and no e-brake in em)

from what i can see this upgrade is going to do nothing but add weight. the caliper is contacting exactly the same surface area of a bigger rotor that it was with the smaller one. am i missing something?
It uses a bigger rotor (adds a bit of weight but not much since the hat is smaller) and thus increases brake torque. imagine grabbing a CD spinning on a shaft. Then imagine grabbing the edge of a record spinning on that same shaft. You can stop the record better because its diameter is greater. Maybe I'm doing a bad job of explaining this.
Man, everyone seems to hate this setup, I'm gonna scrap it. The fast brakes relocator kits dont sell much either.

I don't think that it is a bad setup. I just am wondering that if someone does the upgrade to this, what is an affordable front setup to keep the bias?
The Type-R front setup would balance out well. It uses 11.1" rotors and the Type-R caliper/bracket/pad which is much bigger to even out the correct bias. It can be modified to be used on a 4x100 Integra or Civic EX knuckle.
For complaining about the switch from ZeroForum to vB IIRC.
Sucks, the guy really knows his ****.
Worst part is he erased all his pics/info from all his threads. Some threads were increadible, must have taken weeks to make some of them.
