simple, also its a input. Tag it to the postive side of the reverse light wire that shows 12 volts when you put the car into reverse

you can grab it in the harness in the driver kick pannel. I forgot what color it is but it was a pia to get to or in the driver running board. If its a auto grab it at the shifter or simple way is to grab it at the back of the car. And run your lead there.

The back up lights wire is green/black, it can be found at the rear harness plug, where the rear harness plugs into the dash harness, at/around under dash fuse box.
As mentioned, you can run a lead it to the rear, plug it into the "trailer lights connector", [drivers side behind rear trim panel].
