Default clutch problem

i got my head back on and everything back together and i get in my car and start it... it makes a weird noise. i tried to let out the clutch in NEUTRAL and it acted like it was in gear and jumped forward and stalled out.. it wont drive. and it wont stay idleing unless you hold the clutch in. the motor runs fine there is just something going wrong with my clutch or transmission.

has anyone ever had a problem like this? ive never heard of a car dieing in neutral like that.

ls/vtec
94 ls block
99 civic si head
93 ls transmission

you can putt it in first and pull forward a bit then it will stall. you can do the same for reverse so the linkage seems to be fine cause its hitting first and reverse. and the gears are alright cause it does move.

I dont think its a clutch problem, if it was then you wouldn't be able to engage and disengage.

What other work were you doing with the engine besides having the head off?
