whats up, i have a ek with a jdm b20 in it just tonight i took a ride to the city came across a del sol and was havn a lil fun on the freeway well after about 15-20 mins after i stopped drivn hard i got back into town and noticed a ticking sound and it wasnt the spark plugs sparkn i thought maybe it was a exhaust leak i did bottom out but i popped the hood and it sounded like it was coming from around the valve cover or intake manifold, i just changed my head gasket like 2 months ago and had the valves adjusted so i dont know if they came loose or what, does anybody else know what this ticking could be........

 

Injectors click or tick and that's normal, you may need another valve adjustment.

 

yeah im familiar with the injector click but this is diffrent and it just started, hopefully it just needs another adjustment, is there anything else it could be that you know of

 

i just pulled the valve cover off and discoverd one of the exhaust valve bolts came loose and the screw backed out, thanks for the input

the first time I ever swapped a head (was a gsr engine) on my car I didn't even thinkto do a valve adjustment or check the retainer nuts. I drove it down the street and 3 came completely off.Luckily they went into the oil pan. Mind you I was only 16
