Default Major problem with b20

Ok at first i thought it just needed new conecting rods or even a valve adjustment but i think i was wrong. The head is making a really loud clicking noise wen the car is running. I took the spark plugs out one by one and turned the car on cuz sum1 told me to do so to see if the rods are nocking and he sed if the sound goes a way its a rod nock. the sound didnt go away but i found a lot of oil on the 3rd spark plug from the left and wen i took that one out the sound was louder. Also i noticed a little oil was coming out of the butom of the valve cover . I'm really upset and i dont want to swap to another motor. What do u guys think this is please help!?!?!?

Oil on the spark plugs near the plug wires is caused by worn tube seals that fit under the valve cover. Sounds like you also need a valve cover gasket. Don't panic yet, you might just need a valve adjustment to quiet the valve train down.

So while your replacing your tube seals and valve cover gasket(might as well buy a valve cover gasket set which should include tube seals) you can adjust your valves and your noise will probably go away. Get some new NGK V-power spark plugs if you need them while your at it ($1.95 each) which are OEM but can be purchased at any parts store cheaper.
